If you are an Android user then there is bad news for you because more than 2 dozen apps installed in almost 100 million (100 million) Android devices have leaked the data of users. Researchers at Check Point Research have released a list of these apps. Some of them are very popular and their installs are also very high. In such a situation, it is being said that hackers must have stolen personal information from Android devices in which these apps are installed. These devices include both smartphones and tablets. Personal data of millions of users linked to these Android apps is available on real time database.

In its report Check Point's research team has stated that some of these weak apps are specialized in astrology, fax, taxi services and screen recording. Researchers have pointed out at least three apps from this list. Including Astro Guru - a popular astrology, horoscope and palmistry app, T'Leva, a taxi-hailing app with over 50,000 downloads, and logo-designing app Logo Maker. Users' personal data is at risk due to deficiencies in these apps, which include email, password, name, date of birth, gender information, private chat, device location, user identifiers and other things.

An app that takes the information of the user has a real-time database which stores every data of the users. According to Check Point Research, "Real-time databases allow app developers to store data on the cloud and also ensure that it stays connected to all connected clients in real time." Many a times, some developers ignore the security of the database which leads to disturbances and this misconfiguration allows theft, service-swipe and ransomware attack on the entire database. Since this list contains a large number of very popular apps, there is a possibility of large-scale attack.

Every information can be obtained on just one request.

Storing data is one thing, but since all these apps are connected to real-time databases, such things increase the risk of exchange of chat messages and hacking. Researchers were able to extract their full name, phone number and location with the chat of the drivers and passengers of the T'Leva app. For this, they had to send only one request to the database. From this, it can be estimated how weak this app is in the matter of security. Apart from this, things were even worse with some apps as both their "read" and "write" permissions were on, allowing hackers to gain easy access. The report states, "This alone can compromise an entire application, not even considering the reputation of the developer, their user base or even their relationship with the hosting market

The drawbacks of these apps have given hackers access to the Push Notification Manager as well. Hackers can easily send notifications from developers to all users. In such a situation, if users get notifications through these apps, then they will not be able to guess that it was sent by a hacker and they will open it. In such a situation, hackers can share such links with the users, which can cause great harm to them. Checkpoint research has described several ways by which users' data can be stolen through these apps. In such a situation, it would be better for you to delete these apps quickly and download them again after these things are fixed

Un-social media curb ?: If you don't believe, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram will be shut down in India in 2 days

 While the toolkit issue is currently raging in India, the Indian government's new law on social media ethics will come into force in two days.  Ignoring the new IT law as soon as the law is enacted could hit social media companies hard.  However, even after a period of three months, social media companies like Facebook-Twitter or Instagram have shown no interest in following the rules.  The question is whether the Indian government will give these companies more time to close Facebook-Twitter-Instagram in India in two days.

 What is the new social media law?

 In fact, on February 25, 2021, the Ministry of Electronics and IT of the Government of India announced the implementation of the Social Media or Digital Media Ethics Code.  The new law covers social media, digital platforms or OTT to ban the spread of any kind of offensive or misleading content.  The government also gave all social media platforms as well as companies three months to implement it.

 

 The deadline is May 25, the law will come into force on May 26

 The law, enacted to regulate digital media or social platforms, will take effect on May 26.  All digital or social media was given three months to do so, ending on May 25.

 In the New Testament this is indispensable to all

 1 - Officers and Contact Addresses in India: For the most important social media intermediaries a) a Chief Operating Officer (b) a nodal contact person (c) a local grievance officer.  All these should be employees living in India.

 2 - It is mandatory for social media intermediaries to have an office in India, which should be published on a website or mobile application or both.

 3- Grievance Redressal: Under the rules, intermediaries should be published on the website, mobile application or both with priority - (a) Name of the Complaint Officer and Contact Details (b) Procedure for making a complaint.  The Complaints Officer must report the complaint within 24 hours.  It has to be disposed of in 15 days.

 4- Monitoring of Harmful Content: Social media companies will use their technology to ensure that tools to remove rape, child violence, etc. are placed on their websites.

 

 The new law covers social media, digital platforms or OTT to ban the spread of any kind of offensive or misleading content.

 Only social media company Koo enforced the rules

 Indian social media company Koo has complied with all the guidelines in compliance with the new digital laws.

 Some companies asked for six months

 Several social media platforms have asked for six more months.  While the ministry said this was easy to implement in three months.  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram said the company was awaiting directions as its headquarters were abroad.

 Storage: In any room, but out of reach of children and pets.

 

 One of the most beautiful home plants Garbera Daisy is usually used for decoration.  These plants also produce oxygen at night.  According to NASA research, these plants absorb benzene, and trichlorethylene from the atmosphere.

 Care: Garbera daisies need sunlight.  So it should be kept in a place where it can get sun for a few hours.  The soil of this plant has to be kept moist, for which it has to be watered regularly.

 Living space: Near the window in the bedroom.

 

 Chinese evergreen is the most common plant found in people's homes.  This slow-growing plant grows well between 18-27 C.  It grows even in low light.  Its maximum height is 3 feet.  These large-leaved plants absorb benzene and formaldehyde from the atmosphere.

 Care: It requires less care.  It needs to be watered occasionally.  Its leaves can be toxic to pets.

 Living space: living room

 

 The spider plant is also known as the ribbon plant.  Its height is about 60 centimeters or two feet.  The plant also tolerates cooling up to 2 C.  However, the best temperature for it is 18 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius.  The spider plant quickly absorbs carbon monoxide (CO) and xylene from the surrounding environment.  Its leaves are non-toxic to pets and children.  That is, it does not harm anyone. 

 Care: Spider plants need to be watered once a week.  Before watering, check whether the soil is moist or not. If there is moisture, water after one or two days.

 The most useful plant in our kitchen window or kitchen garden is aloe vera.  The gel extracted from its leaves is used for burns as well as for beauty care.  Its gel also has high antioxidant and immunity.  It has many medicinal uses in Ayurveda.  As well as its leaves absorb the toxins benzene, and formaldehyde found in varnishes, floor varnishes and detergents from the surrounding environment. 

 Care: It grows well in the sun.  It also needs less water.

 Broad Lady Palm is also known as Bamboo Palm.  This is a room plant that absorbs the ammonia found in cleaning products.  Apart from that the plant also reduces benzene, formaldehyde, xylene and trichlorethylene from the surrounding environment.  In this way it not only cleans the air around us but also gives oxygen.  It can grow up to a height of 4 meters.

 Care: Direct sunlight lightens the color of its leaves.  So it needs shade.  In the heat it needs to be given enough water.  It usually needs to be watered daily.
